It has been a while since I’ve shared an update with you, and there is a lot to tell you. Most recently, Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc here on the east coast and our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected. The impact for us at Brain Parade in Connecticut, while frustrating, was minor in comparison – we lost power and Internet for 4-5 days, and we’re back up and running now.
Busy, Busy, Busy!
Since the beginning of summer we have been locked away working on a very significant update to See.Touch.Learn.® Pro. We are in the final testing stages and hope to have it available for you in the next two weeks. I put together a few videos so you can see what it looks like. (click here see a preview of what is coming). I think you’ll agree it’s quite a significant improvement on an already great product. It includes an exciting new look and feel along with major new capabilities like the ability to organize your content into folders and to search by keyword. We also added other features that our users have specifically asked for like randomizing card positions, auto advancing exercises, the ability to turn off the “wrong answer wiggle”, and a new “Play Mode” that restricts activity to just playing lessons.
Brain Parade® Community
These are all significant improvements by themselves, but what we are the most excited about is the new Brain Parade Community. This is something that I envisioned when I first created See.Touch.Learn. over two years ago. The Brain Parade Community will allow users of See.Touch.Learn. Pro to share their lessons and libraries with other See.Touch.Learn. Pro users around the world. Imagine having colleagues in 104 countries creating and sharing content with you. Well, in two weeks you won’t have to imagine it, it will be a reality. Access to the Brain Parade Community will be free to current See.Touch.Learn. Pro users.
A few weeks after this launch, users of the Free version of See.Touch.Learn., will be able to subscribe to the Brain Parade Community and download lessons that they can use in See.Touch.Learn. Now teachers using the Pro edition can create lessons and share them with students to work on at home!
Now over 4,400 Images and 2,300 Exercises!
Our efforts haven’t been limited to improving the features in See.Touch.Learn. We’ve also been hard at work creating tons of new content. In the past three months we’ve created 21 new libraries with 2,415 new images and 960 new exercises! That’s more than we created in our first 17 months combined!
* Bathroom * Beverages * Signs and Safety * Weather and Seasons * Classroom * Farm Animals * Buildings and Places * Musical Instruments * Tools * Sports * Wild Animals * Nature * Electronics * Kitchen Utensils * Toys * Thanksgiving * and a few more you’ll find only in the Brain Parade Community.
