On Dec. 9 Autism Speaks shipped 800 iPads and 800 copies of See.Touch.Learn. Pro to individuals in the autism community across 46 states. The recipients were between the ages of 4 and 60 years old and were selected from almost 16,000 applicants to the Autism Speaks grant program.
Brain Parade is delighted to be a sponsor of this initiative and to put this exceptional learning device and app in the hands of 800 of those in the autism community who can most benefit.
I’ve often said that it would be great if we were able to put an iPad in the hands of every family that could benefit from one, so when the opportunity came up to partner with Autism Speaks on an 800 iPad grant program, we leapt at the chance. Brain Parade is proud to support this Autism Speaks’ project for people with autism along with parents, educators and social workers in their community. The 800 copies of See.Touch.Learn. Pro that we provided are valued at $32,000—our largest contribution to date. With almost 16,000 applicants for these 800 iPads, the need is clearly great and we are determined to continue to do more to raise awareness and fill the need.
