This morning I participated in the World Autism Awareness Day ceremony in my hometown of Stamford, CT. The event was organized by Stamford Education 4 Autism (SE4A) and its tireless President, Robin Portanova. The Mayor, Schools Superintendent, and numerous members of the city government, schools and private sector were there along with over 50 students from several of Stamford’s schools.
I was also surprised and honored to receive a certificate of recognition from SE4A for Brain Parade’s work with the local autism community. What was really inspiring, however, was to listen to each of the students stand at the podium and speak to the audience and tell something about themselves.
I really started my day on a high note today!
